Good morning to all you who are standing in a checkout line right now! To the rest who wisely slept in (not me) or are already done with their shopping, welcome.
Today is the last day we’ll be touring the Caroline House. Just outside of the library is a powder room, decorated by “Graduates” and “Career” (Sunday school classes of the church, I’m guessing).
This black canvas was painted to look almost like an elaborate chalk snowflake.
Unfortunately there was a rope keeping me from going inside of the powder room, but I was in total awe of this snowflake wall! An entire wall, guys! This could be such a fun activity to do with the kiddos or some friends, and while it’s elementary in nature, the effect is really grand.
Next up is the library, decorated by Renee Richesin and Joanne Roddam.
“And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom He is pleased!'” Luke 2:13-14
When you first walk in the library, the first thing you notice is the ceiling: clouds! Cute.
Looking beneath the tree, I love the layering of tree skirts (or the tree underskirt, if you will).
The bookshelves were used to house art, holiday miniatures, and bouquets, all neutral or metallic.
I love this gold-leafed, hanging star. I rarely think of using ceiling hooks when it comes to Christmas decorations. The decor emphasis on the ceiling is so unusual and interesting.
The last room is the sunroom, decorated by Kellie Stewart, Jill White, and Sara Newdome.
“The heavens are the Lord’s heavens, but the earth He has given to the children of man.” Psalm 115:16
Natural lighting aside, this room was truly stunning. The centerpiece (or is it a magnificent, natural table runner?) of the table is so lush!
I’m also a big fan of those antiqued, wooden candle holders.
The backs of these chairs were wrapped in ribbon, which is both festive and still practical in that it doesn’t prohibit guests from sitting comfortably (like perhaps the bows on the kitchen stools might). Has anyone taken notice of the log slice (for lack of a better word?) underneath the plates? Divine.
I love the alternating floral arrangements on the bookshelf.
I’ve always liked these carnival-like, light-up signs, but I’ve often wondered what I would want one to say that I displayed. Suddenly Christmas seems like the perfect occasion for one of these, as there are many words that encompass the season well.
The tree in this room was adorned with many natural ornaments that were really quite lovely: I’m impressed with these jute snowflakes, as well as the vine garland and the glittery ribbon (probably my favorite tree of them all).
This fun, little sled housed more greenery, ribbons, and a lovely star ornament.
Gorgeous.
This last photo technically comes from the patio, which was decorated by the Flower Guild. Sadly, this is the only photo I was able to take of it (dozens of people swarmed out here waiting for the bus).

I love this vintage, green rocker. I was determined to sit in it, but kept talking myself out of it (it would be bad to be the big, pregnant lady who squashed all the ribbons).
